About Troop 313--
Troop 313 is a boy run troop, chartered by the Three Thirteen Dad’s Club in Des Peres Missouri. Our troop is an important
partof the community. Over the past 65 years many scouts have been a part of our troop. We invite you to join us.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their
lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

You Can't Take “OUTING” Out Of SCOUTING
When asked what they like most about Troop 313, scouts always say the outings. Every year the scouts plan what they want to do the next year. Listed below is a typical sampling of our outings.

Unlike many troops sponsored by a single church or school, Troop 313 has scouts from many different schools including:
Barretts, St. Paul’s, Westchester, Parkway South Middle, North Kirkwood Middle, Parkway South High, Kirkwood High,
DeSmet, MICDS, St. Louis University High, Chaminade, Lutheran South, Community School, Concordia Kirkwood
Lutheran School, and others.
Scouting Is About Scout Skills
New scouts learn and practice many new skills. By demonstrating their skills, they advance in rank. Some scout skills
learned by new scouts include: Camping, first aid, knots and lashings, cooking, leadership, poisonous plants, wildlife,
fire building,
map
and compass, emergency preparedness and the proper use of a knife.
Where Do We Meet?
Troop Meetings are usually held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month at 7:00 PM
in the basement of Des Peres City Hall.
