Most of us are familiar with the old “Local Tour Permit” and “National Tour Permit” forms and processes. Both of those have recently been replaced with a “Tour Plan” form. These are reviewed by Council and the old forms (and the long review cycle by the regional center for National Tour Permits) are no longer used. The basic rules still apply…trips within Council boundaries do not require submission of a Tour Plan UNLESS there are water activities, climbing, etc., involved.
